Summary: Dichlorprop is a monocarboxylic acid that is used as an herbicide. It is soluble in water up to 350 mg/L at 20 C and has a density of 1.42 g/mL. Upon decomposition it produces gaseous chloride which may be toxic to inhale. It has an acid dissociation constant of pKa = 3.10. Koc values ranging from 34-129 indicate it will have high mobility within soil.
