Summary: N-Nitrosodiphenylamine (NDMA) is an organic compound used in the production of rubber and other organic compounds. It has limited uses today in rubber production but has been used widely for this starting in 1945. It is soluble in water up to 35.09 mg/L at 25 C and has a density of 1.23 g/mL. Upon decomposition it produces carbon/nitrogen oxides. A Koc value of 1,200 indicates low mobility within soil. Volatilization, photolysis, and biodegradation are expected to be major fate processes for the compound. Bioaccumulation is expected to be high.
