Upon decomposition it produces nitrogen/sulfur oxides. It may exist as an environmental transformation product of mancozeb, maneb, or metiram, all of which are pesticides. Ethylene thiourea is classified by the EPA as a Hazardous Air Pollutant (HAPs). A Koc value of 13 indicates high mobility within soil. Photolysis from soil and surface water is expected to be a major fate process.
