Summary: Ethinyl estradiol is an estrogen that is found in many oral contraceptives. It may be used to protect against osteoporosis and delay prostate cancer. It also can be used to lower testosterone levels. It is soluble in water up to 11.3 mg/L at 27 C. A Koc value of 510 indicates low mobility within soil. Bioaccumulation is expected to be high in organisms.
